Prudence, also known as Pru, can be gentle but if she wants to play, she will get the party started.
She and Jess are bonded and must be adopted together (they’re basically a two-dog sitcom).
While Jess is the louder personality, Pru can absolutely hold her own — and is often the one who starts the fun by pouncing on Jess after morning potty walks.
She’s sweet, snuggly, and will happily climb onto the couch and onto you (especially your chest) if you let her. She does not know the meaning of personal space and she doesn't want to.
Pru eats slowly and uses an elevated feeder due to dentition issues.
Because Jess is dominant and food-motivated, meals should be supervised so Pru gets to finish in peace.
She does well with softer chews (duck chews are a fave), though she can handle some tougher treats too.
Training: Tiny Student, Big Potential
Knows: sit, kennel, let’s go.
Learning: leave it, off, come, no, pee/poop.
Important Management Notes
High prey drive; “leave it” training is in progress, and leash is required for success around small animals. Like most complicated women she can be defensive with new people initially (crate barking/growling), but warms up quickly with calm attention.
Can be reactive toward other dogs and will test boundaries, so she needs confident handling and leash management.
Crates easily overnight after a ~10pm potty break and wakes around 6:30–7am.
Appears house trained (with responsible management), and yes—she too is part baby rhino when it comes to flimsy gates.
When tested alone briefly, Pru did okay — but these two are best as a unit, and placement is intended together.
Ideal home for Pru (and Jess): no small animals, structured routine, secure yard, and humans who want two affectionate couch potatoes that occasionally turn into morning gremlins.
