I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Ruby Roo

I'm Available | Bonded With: Matey

Meet Matey & Ruby Roo – A Bonded Pair Looking for Their Forever Home!

Some dogs become friends. Matey and Ruby Roo became family.

These two sweet girls are looking for a home together where they can continue sharing all of life's adventures, from couch naps to backyard play sessions.

Matey is a lovable Beagle/Bichon Frise mix with a big personality and an even bigger love for blankets. She'll happily drag blankets around the house, snuggle them, lick them, and occasionally give them a little chew. She's house trained, knows how to use a doggie door, enjoys spending time outdoors, and takes her self-appointed neighborhood watch duties very seriously. If a leaf blows across the yard or a squirrel sneezes three houses away, Matey will be the first to let you know! She loves chew toys, treats, and playtime with her best friend Ruby Roo.

Ruby Roo is a 7-year-old Boston Terrier whose favorite things in life are toys, treats, and being close to her people. She loves playing fetch and will happily bring a ball back over and over again. She also loves burrowing under blankets and covers whenever she gets the chance. Ruby is incredibly affectionate and forms strong bonds with her humans. Whether you've been gone for five minutes or five hours, she'll greet you like you've been away for years. Just make sure her toys are tough ones,as Ruby can destroy a stuffed toy in record time and redecorate your house with fluff before you know it!

Both girls are house trained, walk well on a leash, ride wonderfully in the car, and are highly food-motivated. They enjoy playing together and can sound quite dramatic during their wrestling matches, but they're simply having fun and are the best of friends.

Matey and Ruby Roo get along wonderfully with each other and are completely comfortable sharing life together. In fact, they'll happily steal toys, treats, beds, and blankets from one another without a second thought!

They have also done well around other dogs, but adopters should know that both girls can be protective of high-value items such as food, treats, and favorite toys when other dogs are involved. This has occasionally led to disagreements with other dogs in their foster home, though nothing serious. They would do best with an adopter who understands normal dog behavior and is willing to manage meal times, treats, and special toys appropriately in a multi-dog household.

They have lived with cats and can coexist with them, but they are not completely cat-neutral. They sometimes find the cats a little too interesting and may give chase if the opportunity arises. A dog-savvy cat and proper introductions would be recommended.

Ruby thinks Matey is the greatest thing since sliced bread. Matey loves Ruby too, she's just a little less dramatic about it. They eat together, sleep together, play together, and look to one another for companionship. Because of their close bond, they are looking for a home where they can stay together.

Ruby would do best in a home without young children, as her previous owner reported that she can be uncomfortable around them and may nip.

If you're looking for double the love, double the laughter, and two devoted companions who will fill your home with personality, blankets, toys, and plenty of tail wags, Matey and Ruby Roo are ready to meet you.

They may take up two spots on the couch, but they'll fill your heart twice as fast.
