Cookie's Foster Mom says she is absolutely smitten with her as she is the sweetest dog! She follows her every where but can still be a bit shy. She has come a long way from living outside, forgotten. Every passing day, her confidence and trust are building.
She loves to put her paws up asked to be picked up to snuggle on the couch.
Cookie loves Merlin (her other BTBR foster sibling) and she is great with the other dogs and cats in the home. She knows how to use doggie door and she goes in/out as she pleases. She enjoys bedtime snuggles beside her people all night long. She loves getting all the scritches and snuggles!
Cookie would do great in a home with another confident dog to help her continue to build her confidence. She still hasn’t taken to toys or chew bones but loves treats, especially duck chews, dental chews, etc.
She really is a happy girl… she will just need a family that will give her time to feel comfortable since this indoor life is new to her. Once she gets used to her surroundings and all the new sounds l and routines… she’s absolutely perfect. She’s having surgery Sept 4 to remove two masses and after she recovers, she will be available to join your family!
