Eugene is a 6-year-old French Bulldog with a gentle soul and a heart full of love. At around 25 pounds, this sweet, lower-energy boy is happiest curled up beside his people soaking in affection. He enjoys a little playtime here and there, but cuddles and companionship are truly his favorite things.
Eugene would fit beautifully with just about anyone — a family with loving children, a laid-back couple, or someone looking for a calm, loyal companion. He’s the kind of dog who happily meets you where you are.
He is neutered, current on vaccines and preventatives, house trained, and crate trained. He walks well on leash with only occasional mild pulling and has an easygoing personality overall. While he does well off leash in a yard, he’s such a friendly guy that he may wander over to greet strangers, so a fenced yard would be ideal.
Eugene has no history of aggression and does wonderfully with men, women, and children. Cats are unknown, but based on his personality, he would likely do fine with a proper introduction.
Like many Frenchies, Eugene does have allergies that require some management. He thrives best on a grain-free duck-based diet (beef can also work) and is highly allergic to coconut oil. He’s currently being treated for an ear infection and has one ear that’s prone to recurring infections, so keeping moisture under control is important. He also has mild arthritis in a rear leg, which is being managed with weight control and supplements.
Despite needing a little extra maintenance, Eugene is far from a “problem dog.” He’s an incredibly sweet, easy companion who simply wants love, comfort, and a family to call his own.
