Petey’s Story

Chapter One – Once Upon a Boston…

About 12 years ago, I went home with a family who loved Boston Terriers. They loved me dearly, and I loved them right back. Sadly, life changed when my mom became very sick and could no longer care for me. With a lot of tears and a lot of love, they made the heartbreaking decision to let Black Tie Boston Rescue help me find a new beginning.

Chapter Two – A New Adventure

Black Tie Boston Rescue whisked me away to a wonderful foster home, where I learned that good food, soft beds, belly rubs, and kind people can help heal a broken heart. I even got to fly on an airplane all the way to Tennessee! (I now know why they call it an airplane!)

Chapter Three – My Happily Ever After…

My foster mom keeps telling me that my last chapter hasn’t been written yet. She promises there’s a family out there who will never make me pack my bags again.

Maybe…it’s you.

I promise to be your shadow, your walking buddy, your shopping companion (I especially enjoy riding in the cart!), your couch snuggler, your bedtime buddy, and your very best friend.

Meet Petey

  • 12-year-old neutered male Boston Terrier
  • 19 pounds of pure sweetness
  • Vaccinated, heartworm negative, and on preventatives
  • House trained with excellent manners
  • Leash trained and rides beautifully in the car
  • Crate trained, though he’d much rather nap near his people
  • Great with respectful children, men, women, visitors, and easygoing dogs
  • Enjoys toys, marrow bones, walks, meals (especially meals!), and following his people everywhere
  • No separation anxiety

Why We Love Petey

Petey is the definition of a true companion. Gentle, loyal, curious, and incredibly loving, he simply wants to belong. He has the sweetest habit of looking up at you with his head tilted, just hoping to make you smile. He’s even been known to sit up and “beg” with both paws when treats are involved—it’s impossible not to fall in love.

After losing everything familiar, Petey isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for permanence. He deserves a family who will cherish him for the rest of his life, and in return, he’ll give you every ounce of love he has.

Could you be the one to write the final chapter of Petey’s story?
