I'm ready for my new family!

Hi! My Name Is Seamus

I'm Available

Meet Seamus — The Tiny Boston Terrier With a Big Heart and an Even Bigger Will to Love

15 lbs of Snuggles • Wiggly Gait Icon • Brave Little Medical Warrior

If you’ve ever wanted a dog who loves you with the intensity of a small Victorian child recovering from an illness, Seamus is your guy. This 5‑year‑old, 15‑pound Boston Terrier is sweet, snuggly, and deeply devoted to the people he trusts. Once he decides you’re his person, he loves you with his whole entire soul.

He’s happiest curled up next to his human, soaking up affection and enjoying a calm, predictable environment where he can feel safe. He’s a gentle spirit wrapped in a tiny, wiggly body — and he’s ready to find the human who understands him.

The Sweet Stuff (aka Why Seamus Will Steal Your Heart)

  • Champion snuggler who wants nothing more than to be close to his person
  • Forms deep bonds — once he trusts you, he’s all in
  • Crate trained, potty trained, and up to date on vet care
  • Loves toys and thinks grabbing his leash for a game of tug is peak comedy
  • Calm, quiet, and happiest in low‑stimulation environments

He’s a sensitive little guy with a huge heart — and when he feels safe, his gentle, loving personality shines like a tiny Boston Terrier sunbeam.

A Special Little Brain With Special Little Needs

Seamus has hydrocephalus, a neurological condition he’s had since puppyhood. It affects:

  • His gait (adorably wobbly)
  • His vision (a little blurry)
  • His memory (he’s doing his best)
  • His orientation (sometimes confused)
  • His behavior (occasional fear‑based reactions when overstimulated)

These behaviors aren’t “bad.” They’re medical. And he’s currently being treated with trazodone, gabapentin, and omeprazole to help him feel calmer, safer, and more comfortable.

He also has an anal prolapse that went untreated for years, causing pain and discomfort. He is scheduled for corrective surgery, and his rescue is committed to providing all needed medical care.

Through all of this, Seamus remains loving, brave, and so deserving of comfort.

The Home Seamus Needs

This little guy isn’t looking for “just any home.” He needs a very specific kind of adopter — someone who sees his worth, understands his challenges, and is ready to love him exactly as he is.

Seamus is searching for:

  • A calm, predictable, adult‑only home
  • No children, no other pets
  • A low‑stimulation environment
  • Someone patient, experienced, and compassionate
  • A human who respects boundaries and moves at his pace

He doesn’t need perfection — just someone who understands that his quirks come from a medical condition, not a lack of love.

Why He’s Worth It

Seamus may not be the easiest dog, but he is one of the most deserving. He has survived neglect, pain, confusion, and fear — and still, he chooses love. Still, he wants connection. Still, he tries.

The right adopter will discover:

  • A deeply affectionate companion
  • A dog who wants to feel safe and cherished
  • A tiny soul who will love you with everything he has

If you believe every dog deserves a chance — especially the ones who need a little extra understanding — Seamus is waiting for you.
